Using social media to recruit adopters – Family Futures


Explores Family Futures’ project to improve their presence on social media to target recruitment of particular groups of adopters. Finding matches for adopters – St Francis' Children's Society

This presentation explains how St Francis’s Children’s Society have been supporting their waiting adopters through a buddying scheme and follow-on groups; and trying to generate links by creating standardised profiles for their adopters. iAdopt Phase 2: The Adoption Journey - Choosing a child - University of Salford

Explores how prospective adopters engage with the realities of adoption and the fact that the majority of children are deemed ‘hard to place’ because of their multiple needs. Part of a wider project which aims to develop and deliver a marketing strategy, targeted at supporting and encouraging adopters to come forward by reducing the barriers and addressing the misperceptions that prevent some people offering themselves as adopters. Can ‘fast track’ adoption work?

In January 2015 Yorkshire Adoption Agency (YAA) received an ‘Expansion Grant’ from the Department for Education (DfE). This report provides the main findings of an independent evaluation of YAA activities funded through the grant.
