Concurrent Planning: When the child is returned home.

Some of the member adoption agencies of CVAA offer concurrent planning where an adopter is also approved as foster carer. But what is it like when the child in care is returned to its birth family?

A carer from the North West Concurrent Planning (a cooperation between Caritas Care and Adoption Matters) has shared her experience with the two agencies of how she survived and thrived after the child that was placed with her was returned to the birth family.

It is a very powerful and well written piece that also demonstrates how voluntary adoption agencies such as North West Concurrent Planning support their adopters throughout the process.
