CVAA overview of the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care final report

Monday 23rd May 2022 saw the publication of the final report from the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care, which was launched in March 2021. The full report can be found here, alongside an executive summary and children and young people’s summary. Government will not be publishing its formal response to the report until the end of the year.

This is a brief summary of the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care’s final report, prepared by CVAA. This looks predominantly at what the report means for adopted children and their families and the adoption sector as a whole, and includes some commentary from charities and children’s organisations on the report and its recommendations.
